Third batch of humanitarian aid deployed by QRCS to Lebanon [EN/AR]

March 7th, 2021 ― Doha: Under its humanitarian response to the Beirut Harbor explosion, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has deployed the third batch of humanitarian aid in solidarity with the Lebanese people.
In cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross, QRCS’s mission in Lebanon cleared and transported the shipment to the former’s warehouses. The aid would be distributed to the affected people and hospitals.
It contained 50 tons of food items, to be distributed to 1,050 families, or 5,250 persons. Also, 100 medical beds were delivered for the hospitals in the proximity of the explosion, to help them to resume their medical services, especially amid the COVID-19 outbreak. ....

Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation (ALF Foundation) carried out various activities in December including ‘Wajba’ social project, which is one of the major activities implemented by the Foundation under the supervision of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities.
This is part of the humanitarian role that the Foundation plays, through different community projects and initiatives to inculcate social responsibility and provide decent life for every member of society in Qatar,
In this version of ‘Wajba’ Project, and knowing the current condition that the country is going through due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and as part of the directions of the State of Qatar to help and lift the impairment that has befallen many families, ALF Foundation has targeted the needy families by distributing food baskets over 2,400 beneficiaries. ....

The General Manager of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Dehaimi, said that the National Day (ND) is a renewal of the pledge and loyalty to the wise leadership, as the commemoration of this event by the wise leadership, all state institutions and the masses of citizens is an evidence of the cohesion and unification of Qataris, and it is also a valuable opportunity to inculcate the values of citizenship and promote belonging to the homeland in the hearts of new generations.
