The Monterey County Alternate Housing site in King City is now able to house additional guests. On Friday, Feb. 5, five new trailers were delivered to the Alternate Housing Site located at San Lorenzo Park in King City. These new trailers are in addition to the 15 state trailers which were delivered in April 2020 to launch this south county isolation and recovery location. The total cost of these trailers is $116,000, the funds to purchase them came from Monterey County’s Cannabis Fund, a move approved by the Board of Supervisors last month.The county said the site in King City is just getting to a point where they are not packed. The new trailers will be helpful here so guest can isolate in them, and the county can repair some of the trailers used over the holiday surge. The county said they want to always be prepared.
