ARLINGTON, Va. (Tribune News Service) Marine Corps Logistics Command, Marine Force Storage Command and Marine Corps Logistics Base-Albany supported the Department of Defense s 5G-to-Next-G Early Capabilities Demonstration recently in Arlington.
The two-day demonstration was a visible milestone in the initiative displaying the underlying technologies and key applications to be installed at MFSC s 5G-enabled smart warehouse.
The Marine Corps expected outcomes from this 5G experiment include increases in the efficiency and fidelity of MARCORLOGCOM logistics and warehouse operations, including improvements to receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, and auditability of materiel and supplies that will directly support the Fleet Marine Force. ....

Any Marine operating or riding in a waterborne amphibious assault vehicle will now get a supplemental emergency breathing device, Military.com has learned.
The Marine Corps has lifted its servicewide suspension on water operations for AAVs after one sank off the coast of California in July 2020. Eight Marines and one sailor riding inside drowned when the vehicle filled with water on its way back to their ship. ....
