World Lacrosse promotes Kenya and Philippines to full membership World Lacrosse has promoted Kenya and the Philippines to full members of the governing body. Both the Kenya Lacrosse Association and the Philippines Lacrosse Association will now be able to send a voting delegate to the World Lacrosse General Assembly. National sides from each country will also be eligible to progress to the championship bracket at World Championship events, meaning they will be able to battle for medals. The decision to promote both countries was recommended by the World Lacrosse Development Committee. Kenya becomes the second full member from Africa after Uganda. ....

FIDE approves proposals of the four Continental Federations related to their qualification structures for the next FIDE World Cup to be held in July 2021. As the epidemical situation remains complicated all over the World, a significant number of qualifiers will be held in the hybrid format. This decision is considered inevitable and exceptional in order to enable the qualification process. Specific Technical Requirements Tournament Regulations Arbiters Arbiters for each playing venue are nominated by the Continental Presidents in consultation with GSC. According to Art. 16.8 of the FIDE Online Chess Regulations, at least two arbiters will be appointed for each playing venue: a Local Chief Arbiter (LCA) and a Local Technical Arbiter (LTA). ....

With travel restrictions still in place worldwide because of the health crisis (coronavirus pandemic), the meeting of the Federation’s executive body again took place by videoconference, and not during the recent UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Ostend (Belgium) as originally planned. The UCI Management Committee approved a plan to improve rider safety, approved a new strategy for sustainable development, awarded the UCI Bike City label to new cities and regions, and attributed the organisation of several events. ....
