As the Conservatives continue to press the government to include a carbon capture tax credit in the next federal budget despite opposition from some environmental groups, carbon sequestration which refers to the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is a new topic in the lobby registry.
Wolf Infrastructure Management, a Calgary-based energy infrastructure company, has hired Chris Andreou of StrategyCorp Inc., to engage with the government on federal funding for carbon sequestration infrastructure development.
Another Calgary-based company, biotech firm Resverlogix Corporation, is seeking an application for a COVID-19 drug authorization under the Interim Order (IO) respecting the Importation, Sale and Advertising of Drugs for Use in Relation to COVID-19, as well as funding for production and scale of the drug. ....

When the Canadian government announced that an Open Banking Framework was under development, naturally most financial institutions were concerned that a highly valuable asset, consumer data, would no longer be owned’ by them. However, as part of co-operative member-owned institutions, credit union members have always been the owners of their data. This type of governance and ownership structure changes the lens through which credit union leaders examine Open Banking, as their primary focus is on member benefits as opposed to profit incentives. ....

Last week,
Therapsil, a non-profit that seeks to promote access to psilocybin therapy, saw a board of directors’ member join the Lobby Registry. It’s looking to promote patient-centred psilocybin research in Canada, and help patients and doctors access psilocybin through special regulations.
Kitchener-based cybersecurity company
Palitronica Inc was the only client organization with more than two registrations. Four other companies had two apiece:
