Innoviz (NASDAQ:INVZ) traded on the Nasdaq this week as part of a SPAC deal that was revealed earlier this year.
Innoviz became a publicly listed company through a business combination with
Collective Growth Corporation in a transaction sponsored by Antara Capital LP and Perception Capital Partners LLC. The transaction was said to have provided $371 million in gross proceeds including a PIPE.
Innoviz is a manufacturer of solid-state LiDAR sensors and perception software. SPACs are hot. We all know that. And now one of
OurCrowd’s portfolio companies is going public via a $1.4 billion SPAC.
Innoviz, a LiDar startup in the autonomous vehicle tech sector, saw the company acquired in a SPAC deal this past week.
Omer Keilaf, Innoviz co-founder and CEO, told CNBC they have been working on completing the deal over the past four months. Innoviz received $150 million from the blank check company – enough money to get to cash flow positive says Keilaf. He also adds that having the funding reassures OEMs using their product – something they expect to increase in the coming months. Innoviz was selected by BMW over three years ago and is now ramping up high volume production, according to Keilif. Other OEMs are in the works too. ....

Tel Aviv startup set to become third lidar firm to list on the stock market via merger investment vehicle.
Innoviz Technologies, the automotive lidar technology startup founded by engineers in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), has revealed plans to raise $350Â million.
The cash is set to be released via a reverse merger followed by a listing on the Nasdaq exchange, a method that has already proved successful for fellow lidar firms Velodyne and Luminar Technologies in recent months.
Following the transaction with investors Perception Capital Partners and Antara Capital, anticipated to complete in the first quarter of next year, Innoviz is set to list under the ticker symbol âINVZâ and despite tiny revenues is expecting to have a valuation in the region of $1.4Â billion. ....
