Pinkerton s, a well-known BBQ spot in Houston has announced it will open their San Antonio location this Saturday, Feb. 13, according to the owner s Twitter post.
Grant Pinkerton, the owner of Pinkerton s BBQ posted a video on his Twitter page of the famous Pinkerton s ribs and brisket getting sliced with the video reading Texas BBQ is king and No one does beef like the Lone Star State.
Grant Pinkerton made good on his word after previously stating the downtown location would be ready to open in February but was unable to provide an exact date. ....

Black Restaurant Week, which helps highlight San Antonio Black-owned restaurants will begin on February 21-28.
The week-long event is not only for brick-and-mortar spots but food trucks, caterers and other food-related businesses in San Antonio to also be showcased.
In a city where the Black population only makes up about 7% of the city’s population, and has a small but growing population of Black business owners, it is nice to be able to shine a light on Black business owners in the culinary field to provide support and acknowledgement.
