Karnataka government has decided to reopen colleges in the state for the academic year 2021-22 from October 4 onwards. The new pattern post reopening will include six days classes and no semester breaks in this upcoming academic year. As a part of the draft calendar for undergraduate, postgraduate, and engineering programs, these changes were proposed.

The government of Karnataka has decided to reopen the educational institutes, including schools and colleges, in the state from January 15, 2021. In order to brace itself against the lethal Covid-19 pandemic, the state government has issued a list of Covid-19 safety guidelines for the reopening of colleges.

Karnataka Colleges, universities would reopen from Janaury 15, 2021 for all students. Deputy Chief Minister who is also in charge of the Higher Education in the state announced the decision of the state to reopen colleges from Friday. This applies to all undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering and diploma classes.
The decision was taken after the success of the offline classes for the final year students that stared in December. The final year offline classes are already underway successfully.
