RHLSD board approves Golec s return
The Rolling Hills Board of Education met Thursday in special session to approve a return to work agreement for Superintendent Scott Golec.
Golec has been on medical leave since Feb. 25. He will return to work on Monday.
The board of education will meet again in regular session on at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 27 in the central office.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday
COLUMBUS, Ohio–Time to gather up those unwanted, unused and expired prescription medications. This Saturday is the nationwide Drug Take Back Day from 10 am until 2 pm.
According to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 9.7 million people misused prescription pain relievers, 4.9 million people misused prescription stimulants, and 5.9 million people misused prescription tranquilizers or sedatives in 2019. The survey also showed that a majority of misused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and their partners across the country, will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs on Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm.
