Penrock LLC looking to pursue new 24-acre subdivision
13 homes are in the works for the county and will begin at $200,000

A proposed subdivision on Pigeon Gap Road in Cambridge Township was one of two topics on the agenda for the Guernsey County Planning Commission when it met Friday at the county administration building.
The commission was asked to conduct a preliminary plan review for Pleasant Valley Subdivision by Penrock LLC, which recently acquired the property.
According to documents provided by the Guernsey County Map Department, 13 homes are planned for the 24-acre subdivision northwest of the city.
The proposal (for Pleasant Valley Subdivision) was submitted a few years ago and the new owners have requested to continue the process, said Shannon Leek of the map department. ....

April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month
The staff of the Haven of Hope has displayed teal ribbons at the Guernsey County Courthouse, Cambridge Municipal Court and at the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office as April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Additionally, the courthouse will be illuminated with teal lights to show support to victims of sexual assault. One in five women have experienced rape or attempted rape in their lifetime. One in 60 seven men have experience rape or attempted rape in their lifetime. Every 98 seconds an American is sexually assaulted.
