The Dispatch A Thomasville man was arrested earlier this week in connection to a December 2020 fire at the old Kern Street School in Thomasville. Charles Malik Setzer-Hayes, 23, faces the arson charge of felony burning other buildings in relation to the Dec. 31 fire, according to an arrest warrant. Setzer-Hayes was previously arrested in connection to a fire on Nov. 2, 2020, at the old Kern Street School. In that incident, he was also charged with felony burning other buildings. For the most recent arrest, Setzer-Hayes was taken to the Davidson County Jail on a $10,000 secured bond. He s scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on May 26. ....
