The Spartanburg Police Department is asking for the public s help to track down a man who was caught on camera stealing rent money from drop boxes using mouse traps.Maj. Art Littlejohn said the man is responsible for three thefts, one on Sunday and two on Monday.The first one happened at the Timber Creek Apartments, at 501 Camelot Drive.The second two happened at Roland Management, at 434 Marion Avenue and at Chase Furnas and Company, at 858 John B. White Sr. Boulevard.According to Littlejohn and a police report, the man used a sticky paper mouse trap on a string at each of the locations to extract several checks and envelopes from each of the drop boxes. The man left behind the mousetrap and a blue towel at one of the locations, according to the police report.He got away with cash, checks, and money orders that were all rent payments, Littlejohn said. Updated: 6:33 PM EDT Jul 9, 2021 Spartanburg police on Friday confirmed a double-homicide investigation is underway after the bodies of two men were found in a home Thursday evening.In new information released Friday, Maj. Art Littlejohn said a family member requested a welfare check after last speaking with her relative on Sunday. The woman told police her relative suffered from a heart condition and she was concerned about his well-being.When officers arrived at the home on Winsmith Avenue, they found the man s body inside. As the investigation continued, police found the second body in a different part of the home, Littlejohn said.The coroner identified the victims earlier Friday as Ronald Glenn, 73, and Matthew Booker Jr., 56, who both lived at the home.Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC, or the Spartanburg Police Department at 864-596-2065. ....
