Wednesday is the Southeast Iowa Superconference boys golf meet at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison and five KCII-area teams will be in attendance.
The Hillcrest Academy Ravens come into the day off of a 209 to 251 dual win over Columbus last week where they were led by medalist Jace Rempel’s 44. For the year the Ravens have a team average of 212 per nine holes led by Luke Schrock at 48.
Winfield-Mt. Union was also a winner last time out, beating Louisa-Muscatine at Cedar Crest in Columbus Junction last week 177 to 224 behind Brady Loyd’s 41. For the season the Wolves are led by Loyd with a 91 average per 18-holes. As a team the Wolves are shooting an average of 382 in 18-hole tournaments.
A pair of KCII area teams will meet in Kalona Monday in a Southeast Iowa Superconference dual when Hillcrest Academy hosts Winfield-Mt. Union. The Ravens are coming in with a 7-3 mark on the year after a 40 stroke victory over Columbus on Thursday. Jace Rempel led the way for Hillcrest with a season low 44. On the year, the Ravens are led by Luke Schrock with a 47 average per nine holes.
Winfield-Mt. Union is unbeaten in dual action this year. They were 177 to 224 winners over Louisa-Muscatine Thursday with Brady Loyd as medalist with his round of 41. On the year, the Wolves are led by Loyd with a 43 average per nine holes. Action gets underway at 4p.m. and continues into the evening at the Kalona Golf Course.
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team welcomes nine other teams to the Kalona Golf Course Thursday for their annual 18-hole Golden Hawk Invitational. Mid-Prairie has been off since April 12th when they fell to the Tipton Tigers 238-248. Elliot Debler led the Hawks with her round of 60. For the season, Mid-Prairie is paced by Madi Davidson with a 60 average per nine holes. This is the Golden Hawks first 18-hole event of the season.
Joining the Golden Hawks in Kalona today are River Valley Conference foes Durant, Iowa City Regina, Tipton, West Branch, West Liberty and Wilton along with Fairfield, Iowa City Liberty and Williamsburg. Action begins at 12:30 and continues into the afternoon and evening at the Kalona Golf Course.
