WILLIAMSPORT – The Lycoming County district attorney has confirmed his preliminary determination police were justified in using deadly force against a Texas man on Feb. 11 following a pursuit that was preceded by an armed robbery.
District Attorney Ryan C. Gardner did so Wednesday when he released the results of a joint investigation by his office and state police into the fatal shooting of Clifford E. Wilbur Jr., 38, in Williamsport’s west end.

WILLIAMSPORT A city woman has been charged in the death of her five-month-old baby girl and alleged stabbing of her estranged boyfriend, both of whom were the infant’s parents, city police said.
The deceased girl’s mother, Corrie Shanikah Cowlay-Saunders, 22, of 344 Adams St. has been charged with criminal homicide along with attempted homicide for allegedly stabbing her estranged boyfriend, Cordell Faltz, in the neck and jaw, after allegedly killing Cailania Faltz, the baby, Thursday night, according to an arrest affidavit by city Police Agent Laura Kitko.
Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessing Jr. said the girl was pronounced dead by one of his deputy coroners and an autopsy was scheduled for today at Lehigh Valley Medical Center in Allentown. ....

Muncy man killed in one-vehicle crash Sunday | News, Sports, Jobs

Dylan Weaver, 23, of Muncy, died of “massive blunt-force trauma” when his vehicle left the road and collided with two trees off the side of a Lairdsville road.
According to State Police, Weaver was traveling south on Cleman Hollow Road toward Temple Road around 8:10 p.m. Sunday when his 2006 Hyundai undercompensated a right-hand curve. The vehicle traveled off the east side of Cleman Hollow Road and crashed into two trees.
Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. pronounced Weaver dead at the scene of the accident.
