Hull council tax hike confirmed as bills will rise by 4.9 per cent
Opposition parties voted against
Council tax bills in Hull are set to increase by 4.9 per cent from April.
The inflation-busting rise proposed by the ruling Labour group on Hull City Council was approved at today s annual budget-setting meeting of the authority.
Opposition councillors voted against after their alternative budget proposals featuring lower increases were defeated.
It means most households will pay between £58.58 and £175.74 extra per year towards council, police and fire services.

People in the lowest-value Band A properties will pay £1,219.13 while households in high-value Band H properties face a bill of £3,657.38. ....
