Support grows urging ‘yes’ votes on May 18 disaster declaration ballot questions
The list of supporters continues growing for amendment questions slated for the May 18 ballot in Pennsylvania that would limit the governor’s emergency disaster declaration powers and give the state legislature power to end a declaration with a two-thirds majority vote.
Along with several state senators and representatives, the ballot questions recently garnered additional support from Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA), a libertarian-conservative political advocacy group, and the Commonwealth Partners Chamber of Entrepreneurs, which engages entrepreneurs to lead free-market change in the Commonwealth. 
Organization leaders told Pennsylvania Business Report that the ballot measures would rein in a Democratic governor who has repeatedly extended emergency declarations that, in turn, threaten the state’s economy.  ....

Gina Diorio: Gov. Wolf is hiding covid data again

Do you remember in the early days of the covid pandemic when Gov. Tom Wolf promised his decisions would be “data-driven”? “We have to follow the science,” he reminded us.
So convincing was this supposed “data” that Wolf temporarily shut Right-to-Know (RTK) offices so we couldn’t ask for it. Transparency in action, my friends.
Well, Wolf’s latest stab at hiding information just went bust. And Pennsylvanians should be outraged by the revelation.
Last July, Wolf issued a quarantine advisory for travelers returning to Pennsylvania from 15 states. Over the next several months, this advisory expanded and contracted as states were added or removed. Eventually, the advisory morphed into an order last November that folks coming into Pennsylvania either quarantine for 14 days or produce a negative covid test. ....
