On December 8, for example, officers deported two child predators to Mexico: Horacio Ornelas-Lomeli and Eduardo Flores-Rodriguez. On March 30, 2018, a Washington State court had convicted Mr. Ornelas-Lomeli of three counts of child molestation. On November 9, 2020, the Airway Height Corrections Center transferred him to ICE for removal. On April 17, 2008, another Washington State court had found Mr. Flores-Rodriguez guilty of luring a minor with a developmental disability. On April 28 of that year, ICE deported him. In July 2017, law enforcement discovered that Mr. Flores-Rodriguez had reentered the United States and deported him again. Last month, ICE found him in the United States illegally a third time and deported him once more. ....
17 Dec 2020 An illegal alien, convicted of murdering a child, was released into the United States after serving his prison sentence thanks to California’s sanctuary state law that was again codified by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D). Carlos Morales-Ramirez, a 44-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, was convicted in January 1998 of second-degree murder, assault on a child causing death, and great bodily injury to a child causing death in Los Angeles County, California. In August 2013, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued a detainer for Morales-Ramirez requesting his transfer to their custody. Instead, the California Department of Corrections released Morales-Ramirez on December 4. ....

An undocumented immigrant serving time for the killing of a child was released from a California prison earlier this month despite an ignored request from federal immigration agents that he be handed over so they could take him into custody to begin deportation proceedings, officials said Monday. Carlos Morales-Ramirez, 44, left the Valley State Prison in Chowchilla on Dec. 4, an ICE news release said.
