Watch: Newshub Nation revealed that a global count found thousands of links hosting child sexual abuse material are using the .nz domain.
The number of child sexual abuse websites blocked by the Government this year is already far more than the total amount blocked in 2020. 
Data provided to Newshub under the Official Information Act shows the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) blocked 382 child sexual abuse websites in 2020, compared to 453 in the first six months of this year.  ....

Thousands of people have protested across New Zealand against the new surveillance bill that would enable the country’s Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) to spy on its citizens.
The protests were held in 11 cities and towns, with the strongest turnouts in Auckland and Wellington, showing the growing level of New Zealanders’ concern over the GCSB bill, the NZ Herald reports. Once passed into law, the bill will extend the bureau’s powers granting the agency a right to eavesdrop on telephone conversations. ....
