Torqeedo launches direct sales in Norway
Torqeedo has opened a direct sales office in Norway to serve the growing market for electric marine propulsion systems there. This is Torqeedo’s eighth direct sales office worldwide.
The company is already present in Germany, Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Thailand and the USA. So now Norway is to follow: “Norway is a world leader in the movement toward electrification of land and water transportation, with broad government support for green initiatives,” expresses Tommi Salonen, director of EMEA retail sales at Torqeedo.
The company is not starting from scratch in the Scandinavian country: Torqeedo is already supplying Deep Blue electric propulsion systems to Greenline Yachts, a manufacturer of electric and hybrid boats. In this context, Torqeedo is also working with Canal Boats Telemark. The goal is to launch an electric charter fleet of six new Greenline electric yachts in the Telemark Canal starting in May. ....
