As you can probably guess, I like food. Connecticut is wonderfully diverse, there s a lot of interesting things that happen in our area food-wise. I ve gathered up a few of my favorite food-related news items that I found around the area this week that I d like to pass along to you in case you enjoy trying new, delicious things.
I m a sucker for Greek cuisine, I love Gyros, Moussaka, Spanakopita, and oh, the Filo. Well, coming up on Saturday June 12, 2021, The Assumption Greek Orthodox Church at 30 Clapboard Ridge Road in Danbury is holding a Greek Eats to-go pre-order & pick up drive thru event. NJ restaurants see increased indoor dining capacity as a big boost

Things are looking up for New Jersey s restaurants.
We are extremely happy, said Marilou Halvorsen, the outgoing president and CEO of the New Jersey Restaurant & Hospitality Association. It is certainly time to do this. It s in line with what other states are doing. We re excited.
Many restaurant owners are thrilled as well.
That s good news, said Simon Shargo, owner of Sushi Kai, a 25-seat omakase restaurant in Fort Lee that opened in the fall. I m happy we re moving forward. It s a good opportunity for restaurants to get on their feet.
With the previous 25% restriction, Kai could accommodate only up to seven diners at each of its three nightly seatings. It does not offer outdoor dining. ....
