LOUISVILLE â In retirement, the Rev. Fred Bunning delights in reading mysteries and solving puzzles.
Fortunately, his wife, the Rev. Virginia Bunning, is not one of them.
Even so, after 50 years of marriage, a hint of mystery yet remains as the retired clergy couple continue to discover in each other their hidden gifts and untapped potential â and even, occasionally, in themselves. ....

First Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Sherman, this fourth Sunday of Advent when Keith Neill brings a message from Isaiah 35:10 and John 15;11, “The True Joy of Christmas”, at the 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. services, or during the 9 a.m. service (W@9) when Keith’s message will be “Christmas Joy” based on the same Scriptures. The Christmas Joy Offering will be received in all services. We are following the guidelines laid out by the state and local authorities for proper disinfecting and ask everyone to practice social distancing. Face masks are encouraged and provided if needed. The 10:30 service will also be live on KHUT 102.9 FM, and check the website, www.fpchutch.org, for the W@9 sermon. We will offer pre-recorded Christmas Eve services on the website starting at 5 and 9 p.m. Thursday. Please plan to join us online for one or both of those services, as well. ....

Officially, the Presbyterian Pan American School (PPAS) is a Christian international college-preparatory boarding school located in Kingsville, Texas, but to Adelite Hategeka it is a second home filled with family from around the world.
âMy favorite thing about the school is the people you meet,â she says. âWe rely on each other and learn how to live together as a community. The teachers are also great because they are patient. I did not really know English when I first went there, but with their help, I slowly learned.â
Adelite just completed her senior year at Pan Am, as itâs affectionately called. She was born in Kigali, Rwanda, and moved with her family to Niger when she was just seven years old after her father got a new job. In her four years at Pan Am, sheâs taken on some important roles â as Campus Ministry president and as leader of the Random Acts of ....
