Proposed safety regulations for dams are scary , Central Otago farmers Otago Water Resource Users Group chairman Ken Gillespie says.
He said the new regulations, which are expected to be introduced later this year, would bring more stress and expense to farmers. ....

GODFREY Early Bird Registration for high school seniors is now under way at Lewis and Clark Community College in a virtual format.
“For our district seniors, graduation is just around the corner, and Lewis and Clark wants to help make the transition to college as smooth as possible,” said Assistant Director of Admissions, Records and Recruitment Ryan Hodge.
Seniors taking advantage of this opportunity will be able to choose their courses and create their ideal class schedules for Summer 2021 and/or Fall 2021, in some cases before or just as open registration for fall begins March 15. ....

TWO Scots fugitives wanted over alleged drug trafficking have suddenly dropped off the radar sparking fears they may have come to harm.
Brothers James Gillespie, 47, and Barry, 43 believed to have been hiding out in a Brazilian bolthole have not been in touch with associates “for weeks”.

The duo are suspected of working with South American cartels supplying narcotics to Europe.
And their silence has led to fears they have been targeted.
A source said: “No one has heard from either of them for weeks now. It’s very unusual.
“It has certainly got people talking some are even saying they may have been harmed.” ....
