CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) A new playground, unlike any other, will soon be built in Canandaigua.
The idea of Inclusion in Motion started with Mike and Nanci Bentley’s son, MJ, in mind. The boy was diagnosed with Pallister Killian Syndrome when he was just six months old. It s a rare disorder that causes the loss of mobility, speech, hearing, vision, cognitive delays, and epilepsy.
It is going to be a place for everyone to play, Mike Bentley said. There will be no one left on the sidelines. This is not for people with disabilities. It is for people of all abilities, and it is going to affect this community with emotional and social impacts that everybody will have the opportunity to learn together, to be together, and to play together, which is most important. ....
