Meth, Altered Currency Found In Wanted Man’s House During Search
A wanted man was arrested Thursday on multiple felonies including altering currency.
On Thursday, deputies with the Crime Impact Team arrested a wanted felon with multiple outstanding warrants during a proactive surveillance operation in Lancaster, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“During a search of his residence, deputies discovered the suspect had tools and contraband for use of washing currency and reprinting them at higher amounts,” Arriaga said.
The suspect was also found in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine, according to officials.

On Crime Impact Team (CIT) Officers initiated a traffic stop on the 1600 block of Lincoln Blvd., regarding a vehicle with expired tags. The driver and one passenger of the vehicle admitted to being on probation and advised that a used hypodermic needle would be found in the center console. A search of the vehicle and the individuals found recently purchased merchandise, along with various EDD cards and social security information for numerous individuals. CIT Officers also found a bag of heroin in the individuals’ possession. Sergio Alvarado and Bryant Loza Ocampo were arrested for 484(e)a PC, 484(e)b PC, 484(e)d PC, 530.5(a) PC (all charges pertaining to fraud and identity theft), and 11364.1(a) H&S – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 11350(a) H&S – Possession of a Controlled Substance.Tags :Crime Watch
Wanted Assault Suspect Arrested During Sylmar Search Warrant
Deputies arrested a wanted assault suspect Tuesday during a search warrant with the assistance of the Los Angeles Police Department, (LAPD) after he allegedly brandished a firearm during an argument Monday evening in Canyon Country.
Around 10:20 p.m. Monday, deputies received reports of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 22900 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The suspect, who also had multiple outstanding warrants, displayed a firearm during a verbal argument at a local business in Canyon Country,” Arriaga said.
