A lucky black Labrador and his human were reunited Saturday after D.C. Fire Special Ops Rescue saved the dog from a storm drain.
The dog, Brady, was stuck inside of a storm drain off the 4200 block of Edmunds Street Northwest in Glover Park, about 100 yards into a wooded area of Glover-Archbold Park, D.C. Fire said.
Brady! Come here, my boy! Oh, my boy! his owner yelled when the pup emerged.

D.C. fire department goes into storm drain to get dog, spokesman says

The storm drain in Northwest Washington appeared to be about two feet in diameter. The man chosen to crawl in Saturday night to get the dog was the slimmest member of his rescue squad, a fire department spokesman said.
Apparently, firefighter Matt Owen of rescue squad 2 was well suited for the task at hand. The black Labrador retriever named Brady was successfully extricated from the drain near the 4200 block of Edmunds Street NW, fire department spokesman Vito Maggiolo said.
Brady’s owner thought the dog had been in the drain for several hours before the fire department was notified about 7:40 p.m., Maggiolo said. The site is near the Wesley Heights area and Glover-Archbold Park. ....
