St. Olaf College has been recognized as a national “Colleges Worth Your Money” leader according to the 2021 College Transitions rankings.
St. Olaf College has been recognized as a 2021 “Colleges Worth Your Money” leader.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based educational consulting firm cited St. Olaf’s “robust academic program,” 12:1 student-to faculty ratio, and “tight-knit and helpful alumni base” in including it on the best values list.
Carleton College, Macalester College, and the University of Minnesota are the only other Minnesota schools featured.

International dual and joint degrees to get green light
India is set to greenlight dual and joint degrees awarded by Indian universities with international partners as part of its internationalisation plan being pushed through forcefully since its inclusion last year in the National Education Policy (NEP), a blueprint for the next decade.
Foreign universities had already started to explore such opportunities, while noting the challenges of setting up joint or dual degrees.
India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman flagged up the change in her budget speech on 1 February, saying: “To promote enhanced academic collaboration with foreign higher educational institutions, it is proposed to put in place a regulatory mechanism to permit dual degrees, joint degrees, twinning arrangements and other such mechanisms.” ....

St. Olaf College graduate and history scholar Alexi Garrett ’12 is passionate about uncovering the past of the United States of America especially the stories that are often left out of history textbooks. 
Having just completed her Ph.D. in early American history at the University of Virginia, Garrett specializes in the revolutionary and early national periods of the United States and focuses on issues of gender and slavery in the South. Inspired after taking St. Olaf Professor of History Steve Hahn’s “History of Women in Early America” course in 2010, Garrett has been pursuing her goal of teaching history and enriching higher education ever since.
