East Earl Township Police say Kenneth L. Schmidt has been arrested and is facing dozens of child pornography charges. According to police, Schmidt used multiple social media platforms to engage with girls under the age of 18.They say the victims thought they were communicating with another teen named Ben and investigators say Schmidt displayed profile photos of a young man.Police say Schmidt also sent photos and videos to several of the girls.Police say Schmidt is facing dozens of charges including:22 counts of sexual abuse of children for possessing child pornography12 counts of criminal solicitation18 counts of unlawful contact with a minor2 counts of obscene and other sexual materials and performances16 counts of corruption of minors 1 count of identity theftSchmidt is in Lancaster County Prison awaiting trial on separate child pornography charges.East Earl Township Police remind parents to monitor their children s online activities. ....
