STRATFORD  Bob Atkins followed his mother, Elizabeth Atkins, into nursing and is probably her favorite son on that basis, according to his four brothers. 
Last month, Atkins gave a COVID vaccination shot to his mother at the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, making him a shoo-in for No. 1 son, he said. 
Shortly after administering the shot, the Camden resident texted a picture of the moment to his siblings.
I was like, You know who the No. 1 son is now, don t you? Atkins said with a laugh. I ve always told them I m her favorite.
Elizabeth Atkins said she was proud of her son for becoming a nurse. She also acknowledged that Bobby is the only one of five boys and one daughter to follow her into the field. ....
