LEXINGTON, Ky. Tuesday marks the ninth annual Kentucky Gives Day. Over 250 nonprofits from all across the Commonwealth aim to benefit from this fundraising push.

The organizations that participated in the Kentucky Nonprofit Network’s 2020 Year-End Review Survey reported losing over $200 million collectively last year. That same survey found 111,000 more Kentuckians sought out those services. ....

Kentuckians Donate More Than $740,000 In Latest Kentucky Gives Online Drive

Kentuckians donated more than $740,000 to 219 nonprofit organizations participating in the ninth annual Kentucky Gives Day online giving campaign. Danielle Clore, Executive Director of the Kentucky Non-Profit Network says the total was a welcome increase from the $652,352 raised during the 2020 event, and it the drive provided some much needed relief for cash-strapped organizations still reeling from the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tuesday is Kentucky Gives Day, an occasion when people are encouraged to support nonprofit organizations across the state.
There are 240 nonprofits in Kentucky that are being supported by Kentucky Gives Day, including St. Vincent de Paul Council of Northern Kentucky and CASA in Northern Kentucky, the court-appointed special advocates for kids in Kenton and Campbell counties.
Karen Zengel, St. Vincent de Paul Council of Northern Kentucky s executive director, said donations collected Tuesday will help their organization assist people struggling to pay rent and utilities because of the pandemic. ....
