GRANT FUNDS TO VFW

GRANT FUNDS TO VFW – Iowa Lakes Electric Charitable Foundation presented grant funds of $3,000 to VFW Post #2295. The funds will be used to remodel the mens restroom at the VFW Post Home in Emmetsburg. Pictured at the check presentation were (from the left) VFW members Chuck Roberts, Larry Huberty and Gary Leonard, VFW Treasurer John VanOosbree and Commander Terry Chamberlain, Wayne Turck, Foundation board member Ruth Brown presenting the check, and Chamber Director Deb Hite and Kyle Auten from Iowa Trust & Savings Bank. Letters of recommendation for the grant were written by the Chamber, Iowa Trust and Martin-Mattice Funeral Home. The remodeling project includes making the restroom ADA accessible, new floor, urinals, mirrors, vanity, walls, sink and lighting. Grant funds from the VFW Foundation ($2,500) and member donations ($2,000) will help complete the $7,500 project. The women’s restroom is also being remodele
