MANSFIELD - The Little Buckeye Children s Museum welcomed back kids Wednesday, as the museum reopened to the public following a 15-month closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. We re excited to be open, Fred Boll, executive director of the children s museum, said as he provided a tour of the first floor exhibits best suited for kids ages 2-10.
Hands-on children s displays including mini stores, a beauty salon, a water table, a fire engine and a LEGO race track kept the kids busy as parents joined in the fun.
Boll said the museum closed March 13, 2020, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The museum is now open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays-Saturdays.

MANSFIELD - Richland County is lifting COVID restrictions along with the rest of the state, generally leaving mask requirements up to individual departments and county office holders.
Commissioners took time during their meeting Tuesday to review COVID policy changes for agencies under their jurisdiction.
Gov. Mike DeWine announced earlier this month nearly all pandemic related health orders would expire June 2, meaning masks will no longer be required at retail stores and restaurants; tables won’t need to be spaced at least 6 feet apart at pubs, taverns and diners; and capacity limits will be lifted on music and sports venues.
