RI man's big beard wins awards in Texas competition

Chuck Reeves of Cranston has a Texas-sized beard. Think ZZ Top.
From Little Rhody, the Navy veteran and podcast host traveled virtually to the biggest state in the lower 48 and won two awards in the 2021 Texas National Beard and Mustache competition.
Reeves reports that he won the Big Joe Johnson Showmanship Award for Showman of the Year and also took third in the Best Groomed category.
According to Reeves, the contest is one of the biggest competitive beard events in the world, typically drawing more than 200 competitors. It was held online this year by the Austin Facial Hair Club. Competitors submitted videos. ....
