DVIDS - News - Fort Carson breaks ground on Intrepid Spirit Center


Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to mark construction of the Intrepid Spirit Center (ISC) at Fort Carson, Colorado, May 13.
The $13-million facility will serve as Fort Carson’s dedicated center to diagnose and treat traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress in regional active duty service members.
“With so many suffering from TBI, we need to do more,” said David Winters, president, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF). “We want to make treatment more easily available to service members.”
The Fort Carson ISC will be the ninth facility constructed for service members thanks to the IFHF’s continued fundraising efforts. ....
