Winona Ruritans celebrate generational daughters | News, Sports, Jobs

May 8, 2021 The Winona Ruritan Club held its annual father, daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and great-granddaughter April 27 at the Winona Evangelical Friends Church. President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order, welcoming all the ladies, and led the group in singing “America.” Vice President Homer Althouse gave the invocation. Secretary Lee Stamp called the roll of members with 14 present. Each member introduced their guests with 24 ladies in attendance. The club dispensed with the monthly secretary and treasurer reports. One member, Homer Althouse, plus one guest had a birthday in April and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to them. The next pancake and sausage breakfast is scheduled for Oct. 9 at the Winona Evangelical Friends Church, with homemade scrapple being made Oct. 8. The club will be taking orders ahead of time for the scrapple and whole hog sausage. As of the meeting, the club had 19 1-pound packages of bulk and 14 1-pound packages of smoked lin

WINONA – The Winona Ruritan Club celebrated its annual father/son/grandson/great-grandson dinner Feb. 23. President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order and led the singing of “America.” Vice President Homer Althouse gave an update on fellow member Rob Donaldson’s medical condition, reporting he is recuperating at home. A “Get Well” card was later passed around for friends and members to sign. Althouse gave the invocation and asked everyone to keep Donaldson and his family in their prayers. Mrs. Gordon served a meal featuring meat loaf and mashed potatoes. Secretary Lee Stamp called the roll of members with 16 being present. Each member introduced his guests for the evening with a total of 28 in attendance. Stamp then read the minutes from the January meeting and February Board of Directors meeting. Treasurer Bob Doyle Sr.’s financial reported was dispensed with for the meeting.
