Austin Spurs Official Release | January 11, 2021 AUSTIN, Texas (Jan. 11, 2021) – The Austin Spurs today announced that they have selected forward Jonathan Kasibabu with the 14th pick in the first round and guards Anthony Mathis and Kaleb Johnson with the 31st and 34th overall selections in the second round of the 2021 NBA G League Draft. Kasibabu, 6-8/240, played for the G League’s Long Island Nets last season, averaging 7.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 20.2 minutes per game. In four seasons at Fairfield University from 2015-19, he posted 7.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks in 21.3 minutes per game for the Stags. As a senior, he earned the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year award, when he ranked second in the conference in rebounds per game (7.4) and tied for fifth in blocks per game (0.8).
