SIDNEY Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Shelby and Darke County’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake is being held at Bel-Mar Lanes in Sidney and McBos Lanes in Versailles. Instead of having one specific date, participants are able to bowl during the time frame of March 5 to August 31. Team members receive T-shirts and vouchers that are good for one game of bowling and shoe rental. Bowl For Kids’ Sake was sponsored by 75 businesses that made general donations, or donated prizes for the event, and brought together 103 bowlers to make up the 24 participating teams. ....

BBBS calls on community to support bowling fundraiser

ZANESVILLE - As pandemic restrictions ease, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville is excited to lead the charge in returning to a more normal environment in the non-profit sector.
The organization will be going forward with it s largest fundraiser of the year that supports mentoring programs.
On May 8, up to 96 teams are expected to participate in the 37th annual Bowl for Kids Sake event at Sunrise Strikes.
It s been over a year, we need this, Executive Director Katie Mainini said. It s really exciting to be the first non-profit to do this.
Teams of four to six members can still register for the event through April 30. ....

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - For more than two decades, For Kids’ Sake has held an art auction to help kids in Bangladesh.
But this year, due to the pandemic, that show could not be in person.
So, For Kids’ Sake decided to keep the annual fundraiser alive, but made it all virtual.
If you visit Longbranch Café in Carbondale, you can see some of the art work that has been done by some local artists, professional artists and artists from around the world. ....
