The Lamoille South school district has selected a new principal for Stowe High School and could name a new superintendent next week. David Greenfield was appointed Tuesday as the next Stowe High principal, effective July 1. He will replace Gretchen Muller, who announced in December she accepted a job at Camelâs Hump Middle School, also starting July 1. Greenfield is currently assistant principal at Indian Ridge Middle School in Davie, Fla. âI want to be part of a community that works together for the greater good of its residents and students,â Greenfield said in a statement released Wednesday. âI have worked in the area of administration as well as guidance and counseling for 18 years and truly enjoy the ability to have a positive impact on each student I work with.â ....
The search for Stowe High Schoolâs next principal is down to two finalists, and the committee overseeing the hiring has made their interviews with both candidates available for the public. Normally at this stage in the hiring process, the finalists would visit Stowe and hang out on campus for a day. However, both candidates are from out of state and unable to conveniently travel â one of them is in Florida and the other in China. In lieu of that, the hiring committee has produced video interviews with both candidates. Glen Mueller A Cornell star for his athletic achievements in men’s lacrosse and basketball, Mueller had a long professional career that brought him back to Cornell twice – first as director of auditing and later as the university’s auditor and chief audit executive from 2015 until his death.
