Gov. Ned Lamont said Wednesday that he and other governors expressed dismay to the White House in a conference call Tuesday over the federal advisory that halted the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine over a possible link to extremely rare cerebral blood clots.
Even if the “pause” is ended in a matter of days, Lamont said he and other governors fear the damage to public confidence will be long-lasting, undermining public-health efforts to overcome hesitancy among several groups about all the COVID-19 vaccines.
“I just hope it doesn’t mean there’s a pause in people knowing how important it is to get vaccinated. That’s what I really worry about,” Lamont said. ....

Houlihan Lawrence, a real estate company based in Connecticut and New York, has announced that five new agents have joined the company’s New Canaan office: Ayesha Qureshi-Amin, George Johnson, Kara Morgan, Barbara Pincione and Polly Sykes.
Ayesha Qureshi-Amin brings a national and international perspective to her work having been raised in Boston, Beijing and Istanbul as her father was a diplomat with the United Nations. Prior to moving back to the United States in 2012, she lived in London, where she studied at the London School of Economics & Political Science and began a long career in banking with 20 years of experience in the finance industry. Fontaine previously held the position of first vice president, Sales and Market Management with Country Bank, where he oversaw sales and service.
