On April 26, 2021, China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) released the Top Ten Cases of Administrative Trademark Adjudication (2020年度商标行政保护十大典型案例). Administrative adjudication in China is an alternative to conventional civil litigation and can be quicker and less expensive than litigation. That said, generally only fines and injunctions are issued in administrative enforcement actions. Those seeking damages should file litigation at a People’s Court instead or in addition.

Speaker receives grilling motions against ministers - ARAB TIMES

KUWAIT CITY, May 3: National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim has confirmed receiving the grilling motions of MP Shuaib Al-Muwaizri against Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Muhammad, and Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Khalifa Hamada. The two grilling motions are about the violation of Article 99 of the Constitution and Article 121 of the National Assembly Decree. Al-Ghanim added that he informed the concerned ministers about the grilling motions, which will be included in the agenda of the upcoming session.
