(PLAINS TOWNSHIP, Penn.) A fight that erupted over snow shoveling allegedly led to a Pennsylvania man shooting two of his neighbors to death, authorities said.
The fatal gun violence occurred in Plains Township, about 15 miles southwest of Scranton after 2 feet of snow blanketed the area, officials said.
Just before 9 a.m. on Monday, Plains Township police officers responded to a report of shots fired in a residential neighborhood and discovered 50-year-old James Goy and his 48-year-old wife, Lisa Goy, lying dead in the street in front of their home, according to a joint statement by Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis and Plains Township Police Chief Dale Binker. ....

Snow Shoveling Argument Sets Off Double Murder-Suicide in Pennsylvania Neighborhood
Three residents in Pennsylvania are dead from a murder-suicide following an argument about shoveling snow.
The deadly confrontation went down on Monday when Plains Township police received a call just before 9 a.m. about shots fired in a residential neighborhood, AP News reports.
When officers arrived, they found James Goy, 50, and Lisa Goy, 48, dead in the street in front of their home. Officers attempted to aid the couple and knocked on the door of 47-year-old James Spaide, who lived across the street.
However, they heard a single shot and found his body upon entering the home. Neighbors told officials the Goys and Spaide were in an ongoing feud that appeared to turn violent following the recent winter snowstorm, ABC News reports. ....

PLAINS TOWNSHIP, PA Bergh Street doesn t normally get too much attention. Just a couple blocks long and in the corner of a neighborhood north of Wilkes-Barre bordering a wooded area, residents there say it s a quiet street where not a lot goes on.

An ongoing dispute between neighbors over snow removal ended with three people dead Monday morning in northeastern Pennsylvania in an apparent murder-suicide, The Citizens Voice reports.
James Goy, 50, and his wife Lisa Goy, 48, were outside clearing snow when they were shot and killed by 47-year-old Jeffrey Spaide, who lived across the street, police said. Spaide shot himself inside his own home as police came to arrest him.
Witnesses out shoveling their own snow after a winter storm swept across the northeast told police they heard screaming and gunshots, the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader said. When police arrived, heavy snow still falling, they found Lisa Goy dead in the middle of the street and her husband dead between two parked vehicles. ....
