GARY A. WARNER Oregon Capital Bureau A steep drop in COVID-19 infections statewide was reflected Tuesday with 16 Oregon counties improving their infection risk levels. Linn County moved down to moderate risk from high risk. Moving from high risk to moderate risk seemed unthinkable two weeks ago. It is great news for our community, said Roger Nyquist, chair of the Linn County Board of Commissioners. We continue to make progress with vaccines, (and) hopefully the supply lines will open up soon. I sense the citizens of Linn County are determined to get through this and back to life as we know it. The lower positive test numbers reflect that determination. ....
Leonel Trujillo recently joined Albany OB/GYN. Trujillo provides general obstetrics and gynecological care. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery techniques using traditional laparoscopy and the da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system. Trujillo earned a bachelorâs degree from George Fox University, and a medical degree at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed residency training at AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital, as well as an internship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. Before pursuing a medical degree, he worked as a nursing assistant and shadowed physicians in the United States and Central America. ....
