Although attempts at constitutional reform were made in the past, they were not made with a sufficient eye to detail; nor were they were made in the right direction.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has one of the world’s most notoriously dysfunctional constitutions. Although at 5,000 words the document is also one of the world’s shortest constitutions, brevity is not always a benefit. The constitution was prepared by US lawyers overseeing the peace negotiations ending the Bosnian war in Dayton, Ohio in November 1995. It was written in English, not an official language of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it came into force not by virtue of a resolution of a parliamentary assembly but as an annex to an international treaty, the Dayton Peace Accords. ....

The NZ Axis Awards has announced that the New Zealand Executive Panel will be accompanied by two prestigious and internationally acclaimed creatives: Aussie expat Leo Premutico, co-founder and chief creative officer of Johannes Leonardo New York and Google Sydney creative director Tara McKenty.

As COVID-19 has prevented our international judges from being able to join us IRL, this year McKenty will be reviewing and scoring online. McKenty will be judging the finalist work that made it through from this week’s category judging round and her scores, along with the scores of the 50 category judges and the five local Jury Presidents, will be tallied to shape the metal winners for this year. Axis is thrilled to have McKenty commit to judge over 300 pieces of work. ....

World Sailing has approved appointments for various Committees and Commissions for the period running from 2021 to 2024.
Positions were confirmed following the nomination of hundreds of individuals by World Sailing s member associations and then a review by the Board of Directors.
Key principles used to decide the appointments included relevant experience and expertise, good female representation, a strong geographical split, focus on emerging nations and new members to introduce new ideas.
World Sailing s Board of Directors then put forward a list of Committee and Commission members to the Council for ratification, which was unanimously approved. ....

Geneva, Switzerland – Members of a newly elected Libyan interim government pledged in Geneva this week to take the country to national elections on December 24 of this year, an ambitious timeline studded with almost impossible challenges.
