In preparation for the implementation of COVID-19 vaccinations, the first of which are expected to be delivered this week, the county of San Bernardino has developed two models for receiving, administering and storing the vaccine and a four-stage allocation plan. The county revealed its plans during an online video announcement on Friday, Dec. 11.
According to Andrew Goldfrach, chief of San Bernardino County Vaccination Task Force, the state of California has been allocated 327,000 doses of the MRNA vaccinations for COVID-19. When divided among the healthcare providers within the counties, San Bernardino County has been allocated a total of 112,000 doses.
The county has been informed that it will receive 15,600 doses in the first delivery, expected this week. Doses will then continue to be delivered on a weekly basis. ....
