Public warning issued about high-risk sex offender who will live in Vancouver

A public warning was issued this week that a high-risk sex offender will take up residence in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) issued a public notification on April 8 that 33-year-old John Ambrose Seward will be residing in Vancouver.
Seward is a convicted sex offender and he is serving a 10-year longterm supervision order for convictions of sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault.
The VPD states that he “poses a significant risk to women in the community”.
He is described as an Indigenous male with a medium build who is 173 centimetres (five-feet, eight-inches) tall. He has short black hair and brown eyes. ....

New case counts may be slightly lower than the weekend but they’re still extremely high, hovering not far from the 1,000 mark.
Meanwhile, B.C.’s immunization program is advancing to Phase 3 ahead of schedule tomorrow, with a new online booking system available (more details below).
Health violations
Controversy arose when two Vancouver restaurants announced that they would defy provincial health orders to close all indoor dining.
In response, Vancouver Coastal Health ordered one of the establishments, Gusto in the Olympic Village, to shut down.
The president and CEO of the B.C. Restaurant and Foodservices Association issued a statement to condemn the actions of these restaurant owners. ....
