NEXT has opened the doors of its Barrow shop to eager customers after being closed for months for refurbishment. The clothing and homeware store at Hindpool Retail and Leisure Park opened on Thursday to a crowd of waiting shoppers. The store has undergone a refit during the recent lockdown, with upgrades to all areas and nine new jobs created. A team of specialists from across the country were called in to work with Next staff to get the new store ready. Store manager Simon Craig, who was previously employed by Marks and Spencer in Dalton Road, said: “The staff have been amazing. There was a lot to sort out after being closed for so long and they have been on top of everything, even with the difficulties around social distancing. ....

CLOTHING and home retailer Next is set to re-open with nine new staff following renovations. In-store shoppers will be welcomed back to the newly-refurbished store in the Hindpool Retail and Leisure Park, Barrow, from 10am on Thursday. Next was forced to close its doors in December with other non-essential shops under the latest Covid-19 restrictions. Bosses decided to take the opportunity while the store was closed to upgrade the facilities to give shoppers a new and improved shopping experience. The store has undergone a range of ‘extensive renovation works’ which have transformed and modernised the space. Store manager Simon Craig said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to modernise our store in Barrow and look forward to welcoming back new and existing customers to our beautiful refurbished space. ....
