On October 23, Uzbek officials announced that the third consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia was postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The declared justifications were the ongoing circumstances linked to the COVID-19 pandemic and impossibility of organizing large political events.
