AMERICAN AIRLINES: Cleaning with a Purpose, American Airlines Earns GBAC STAR Accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council

American Airlines issued the following announcement on Dec. 30.
American is the first airline to achieve GBAC STARâ¢ accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) for its entire fleet of aircraft and Admirals Club lounges. STAR is a performance-based program based on American establishing effective cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention work practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics such as the coronavirus (COVID-19).

FORT WORTH, Texas ― Earlier this week American announced its preflight coronavirus (COVID-19) testing program for customers traveling to international destinations and Hawaii. The initial launch, scheduled for Oct. 15 for passengers traveling from the airline’s hub at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Hawaii, will now also include passengers traveling to Costa Rica.
