William David Bill Tranmer, 84, of Owings passed away peacefully on April 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born July 24, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to Robert F., Sr. and Irvie Eggleston Tranmer. Bill was raised in Capitol Heights and graduated from Suitland High School. He married Frances in 1958 and they lived in Prince George s County before settling in Owings in 1977.
Bill was an entrepreneur. He owned and operated several successful companies throughout his lifetime, including: Arbez Flooring, Tranmer Construction (home building and master general contractor), Park Snacks Concessions in Dunkirk Park with his daughters, and Sonny s Tackle Shop with his brother. Bill built many beautiful custom homes in southern Maryland, and after a long successful career as a contractor, he went on to work as the Director of Community Resources for the Calvert County Government, and later worked as Director of Construction for the Calvert County Board of Education, until hi ....

It is with great sadness, the family of John Hamilton Wallace announces his passing after battling COVID-19. Just like all experiences in his life, he approached this challenge with strength and courage but was called home on February 17th, 2021.
John s journey began on January 14th, 1942 in Hamilton, Bermuda to the late Walter Wallace and R. Marie Aleshire Wallace Decline. John and his beloved wife Patricia spent over 58 years together. He was a loving father to his daughter, Heather, and his son-in-law, Michael Garris. Joy filled his life when he became a proud grandfather to his cherished Savannah Marie Garris. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth M. Wallace Sr. and partner, Joanne Grizzard; Sister-in-law, Joan, and husband, Emery Reistetter; Sister-in-law, Dorothy, and husband, Thomas Vincent. Jimmy was born on February 26, 1947 in Washington, D.C. to Catherine Louise (Mattingly) Downs Binger of LaPlata, MD and the late George Thomas Downs.
Jimmy was a hardworking man all of his years, was involved in several organizations and enjoyed various hobbies. He graduated from Suitland High School in 1966. On May 20, 1972, he married Patricia Ann Reed in Oxon Hill, MD. Together they celebrated over 48 wonderful years of marriage. Just after high school he was employed as a mechanic for Coleman Cadillac in Bethesda, MD followed by Capital Cadillac until 1979. He then relocated to St. Mary s County, where he was the owner and operator of Avenue General Store from 1979 to 1989. During his time at the store , he formed countless relationships with customers and vendors, many of which grew into meaningful, long-l ....
