Odisha to identify more locations for nature and eco-tourism
The Odisha government has decided to identify more location for nature and eco-tourism as the eco-retreat sites set up in the state have become quite popular with tourists, an official said, reports PTI.
This was decided at a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra, who directed the departments of tourism, forest and environment and water resources to identify more locations for enhancing nature tourism activities in the state, the official said.
The Chief Secretary asked the district collectors to identify locations for setting up year-round eco-retreat sites, nature camps, day destinations, river cruise, boating, jungle safari, wildlife sighting towers and other such activities. ....

Odisha's revenue generation shows upward trend by November end

Bhubaneswar: Beating the Covid-19 crisis in different sectors of economy, Odisha has maintained upward trend in revenue generation because of Government’s dynamic financial management strategies. By November end of the current year, the total revenue collection has grown by 4% over the corresponding period of last financial year. This was known from all Secretaries meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in Convention center of
Lokseba Bhawan today.
Reviewing fiscal performances of various departments up to November-2020 presented by Principal Secretary Finance Sri Ashok Kumar Meena, Chief Secretary Sri Tripathy directed the departments to focus on faster implementation of the projects by utilizing the budgeted money without parking the funds anywhere. Bhubaneswar: In a significant move towards providing dwelling houses to urban poor, a total number of 1, 39,149 dwelling houses have been sanctioned for homeless households in 114 towns and cities of Odisha. This was known from the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring (SLSM) committee meeting held on digital mode under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra from Lokseba Bhawan today wherein Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Sri G. Bhubaneswar: As many as 28 investment projects worth around Rs 588 Cr with direct employment potential of 3245 have been put on fast track with swift land allotment process of Industrial Development Corporation, Odisha (IDCO).
A High-Level Land Allotment Committee meeting regarding this was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy on digital mode from Lokseba Bhawan wherein Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Industrial Development Corporation (IDCO) Sanjay Kumar Singh presented details of the scrutinized projects for discussion.
