Queensland Liberal National party numbers man James McGrath has thrashed his fellow Senator Amanda Stoker to win top spot on the party’s ticket for the next election.
The result is a rebuff for Scott Morrison and potentially shifts the leadership dynamic inside the Nationals.
Senators James McGrath and Amanda Stoker were in a hard-fought battle for the top spot on the Queensland LNP Senate ticket.
